Literature Text

Crimson lips
Ivory skin
Ebony hair
Sapphire eyes
These are what I wish for
To be lovely
Inhumanly beautiful
I wish I was wanted
I wish people loved me
For more than just my friendship
I wish I was noticed as I pass
For that last glance
To know that I am beautiful
I wish I could be reassured
I wish someone would hold me
Tenderly embrace my soul
See the scared child
Underneath the cool exterior
See the blood dripping from my cuts
Kiss the tears from my cheeks
I wish for light through the darkness
I dream of warmth out of the cold
I long for a companion
A human I can share my inner dreams with
I hope that someone could reach through
The cold waters of my soul
Look into the glass of my deepest fears
Gaze into the orbs of my pain
Feel the emptiness of my being
I can see the porcelain crumbling
I can feel the wax melting
Red dripping flames tormenting my mind
I can no longer stay blinded to my feelings
It is finally coming out
The floodgates have opened and there is no going back
I love you
With all of my heart
I just wish
You could show me the tiniest hint
Of your true soul
"I am the butterfly"

This poem has made me consider just about every person I have ever taken a look at and judged.
Sometimes poetry does that to me.
Is beautiful. ^^
